Kwok Kian Woon is Vice Chancellor of the University of the Arts Singapore. He is also Emeritus Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he served as Professor of Sociology, Associate Provost for Student Life, and Associate Vice-President (Wellbeing). His research interests include social memory, mental health, and civil society. He has served as a board member of the National Arts Council, the National Heritage Board, the Intercultural Theatre Institute, and Temenggong Artists-in-Residence, and is a past president of the Singapore Heritage Society. Prof Kwok has sat on the panels for at the Art Conversation sessions for Sambal Goreng (2019), Time and Space (2021), both at Maya Gallery Singapore.
